We’re building a Mac app that lets you run a team of AI coding agents. It’s used by engineers at YC, Linear, Vercel, Notion, Supabase, and other leading companies. We’re growing fast and looking for awesome builders to join us.

If you’re interviewing, we hope this will give you a sense of what it’s like to work with us.

If you’re not interviewing, consider it!

What is this doc

This is for coordinating on what we want Conductor to be like. It’s not an instruction manual. It will change as Conductor grows and changes.

When to work

Work days: We typically work together in the office Monday through Friday. We do a walk at 9:30 every morning to sync up. On Saturdays, the expectation is that we’re usually around and doing something, but maybe not in the office. We try to take Sundays off.

Vacation: Take as much as you need to feel productive and excited—probably at least one or two weeks of real actual vacation where we’re actually not doing work.

Holidays: Take off holidays as you like. There’s no default holiday schedule, so we try to communicate in advance.

Working remote: We try to do most of our work in person together in SF, but occasionally when we need a break we’ll work remotely.

Health

We take health seriously. Bodies power brains.

There is very little you can do on a computer that is more important than exercise or sleep. Get exercise and sleep in whatever form and at whatever time works for you. Exercising in the middle of the workday is great! So is napping when you’re tired.

We get Locale meals for the week delivered to the office every Monday. Order what you like! We try to eat lunch together.

How to spend money

So you want a thing. Can you expense it? Here’s the expense policy:

    B -->|Yes| D{Is it cost-effective?}
    D -->|Yes| E[Expense it!]
    D -->|No| C

You get to be the judge of what’s cost-effective for the company. But keep in mind that we have a lot of cash. You should probably be at least as willing to charge purchases to Conductor as to your own bank account.

Example purchases that are often cost-effective:
